Seed Dispersal by Earthworms

Earthworms are important for soil biology and carbon  cycle, and for plant dispersal. Recent studies by Nico Eisenhauer et al. (2008, 2009) highlight that endogeic earthworms are efficient seed dispersers, and may strongly impact the composition of the soil seed bank as well as that of plant community composition.
