The FSD2010 logo arrived

After being held in the tropics  (Veracruz, Mexico) and sub tropics (Rio Grande do sul, Brazil; Southern Queensland, Australia), FSD2010 will be in the temperates, in a mediterrranean environment, Southern Europe. Because frugivory and seed dispersal  is not constrained by latitude,  a logo was designed to put emphasis on plants and animals that occur within and outside the tropics. Erin Kuprewicz prepared the logo using an oak (Quercus sp.) tree, Florida Scrub Jay, Eurasian Jay, Agouti (Dasyprocta punctata), Apodemus sp., and Sus scrofa. Note that the light green foliage of the tree matches the Herault map, the dark green being the Mediterranean Sea. The symposium-workshop is not solely restricted to those organisms. Everyone is welcomed in Montpellier, France.
