5th International Symposium-Workshop on Frugivores and Seed Dispersal (1985-2010)
La Région Languedoc Roussillon is famous for wine. Come and discover this natural product with us, but drink it with moderation. Vitis (grapevines) is a genus of about 60 species of vining plants in the flowering plant family Vitaceae. It is economically important as the source of grapes, both for direct consumption of the fruit and for fermentation to produce wine (Source Wikipedia). More rarely, it is mentioned that grape fruit are consumed and dispersed by both flying and terrestrial vertebrate frugivores. During FSD2010, we are organizing a special evening for our participants to discover the diversity of wines of the Languedoc Roussillon Region with our partner 'Les Caves de Trinque Fougasse". Two evenings (15-16 June, each for 100 pers.) will be organized to meet with winegrowers and discover their vintages, plus one more evening (18 June) with Jazz Music. Then, we'll visit South African grapes and wineyards in 2015.
