French Nature Congress in Paris at Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle
As part of the Celebrations of the International Year of Biodiversity, the French node of IUCN organized the Congrès Français de la Nature at the Grand Amphithéâtre du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle. Politicians and Major NGOs met in Paris to try to understand where they have failed in stopping diversity decline in 2010. See the program. We, scientists from abroad, will meet in June in Montpellier, and see what we achieved to better understand how plant biodiversity maintain itself via seed dispersal by animals and other means, and to protect and conserve it despite many threats on organisms and habitats around the planet (hunting, mining, deforestation, palm oil plantation, for instance).
